What is a Awning Window?

An awning window is hinged along the top edge and opens outward at the bottom, pushed out by friction stay arms. Because the open sash tilts outward like a small awning, it keeps ventilation going even during light-to-moderate rain — water runs off the glass instead of into the room.

BOYCE’s awning systems use adjustable friction stays rated to hold the sash open at any angle, paired with EPDM sealing and hidden drainage so the frame stays weathertight when closed.
